now dependent on lithium, so the growing demand for this popular
​battery material is having an impact on spa owners in New Zealand. 

A global shortage of lithium hypochlorite, the most common sanitiser used in
spas, is leaving spa owners wondering how to maintain the health and clarity of
their water. 

We’ve recently had to tell our clients that we can’t get in any more lithium, but
don’t panic as there are other options for spa sanitisation that are as simple to
use.  Many people use Bromine tablets in a floating dispenser or a sprinkle of a granular stabilised chlorine.

What else do I need to do for my spa?
We recommend OSPA Oxy shock to our clients as it helps clear up body fats, algae and contaminants.
A good quality spa shock (oxidiser) cleans up the water ridding it of toxins, helping keep your spa water
clean and safe. Giving your spa a regular shock also helps keep the sanitizer stay active for longer.
