2. Great for general wellbeing. Just 30 minutes of swimming three times a week alongside a balanced, healthy diet and lifestyle is one of the best ways to stay fit and healthy and maintain a positive mental outlook. 

3. De-stresses and relaxes. Swimming regularly can lower stress levels, reduce anxiety and depression, and improve your sleep patterns.

​battery material is having an impact on spa owners in New Zealand. 

A global shortage of lithium hypochlorite, the most common sanitiser used in
spas, is leaving spa owners wondering how to maintain the health and clarity of
their water. 

We’ve recently had to tell our clients that we can’t get in any more lithium, but
don’t panic as there are other options for spa sanitisation that are as simple to
use.  Many people use Bromine tablets in a floating dispenser or a sprinkle of a granular stabilised chlorine.

We can help you decide what is right for you, so come into the shop to have your spa water analysed (for free) and get the right advice on sanitising without Lithium today.  If you want to test your chlorine or bromine levels at home, we’ve got test strips and test kits for sale in store to help you too.

What else do I need to do for my spa?
We recommend OSPA Oxy shock to our clients as it helps clear up body fats, algae and contaminants.
A good quality spa shock (oxidiser) cleans up the water ridding it of toxins, helping keep your spa water
clean and safe. Giving your spa a regular shock also helps keep the sanitizer stay active for longer.

Remember, we can help with your spa service or do a complete drain and refill for you, it's only $15 to add your spa
service to your regular pool valet if you are a client of ours!

Our front of house extraordinaire Gus recently got engaged! So a huge congratulations to him and his lovely partner Kath. We'd like to wish them all the best for all the fun to come.... ring shopping, venue and date decision making and other wedding planning tasks. 

If you're in the Newmarket area pop in to our store to congratulate him, we think he'll be smiling for a while yet!

One of our other team members has recently injured his leg, so we're also sending a big get better soon wish to Jason. He's not one to sit still for too long, so we hope he's back on his road bike, and in his work van soon!

Our first lot of donations for Manurewa South School have landed in the shop. They've got some new towels, dive sticks, goggles, pool noodles and flutterboards coming their way. One of our awesome suppliers has donated 200L of chlorine as well, so they'll be right for that sanitising chemical for a while! If you want to help, please contact us, or drop off anything to our shop at 24 McColl Street. 

We’re working hard on an exciting community initiative to benefit Manurewa South School, one of our clients – the good news is you’ll be able to help too! 

The kids at Manurewa need some help to ensure they're all geared up for their summer swimming lessons, so we're collecting tidy condition equipment and arranging to get it to them, in time for their pool opening this October.

If you have any of the items listed below, we would love to pass them on to help get kids swimming confidently!: 

• Googles
• Togs (ages 5 -12)
• Flutterboards
• Pool noodles
• Towels
• Diving sticks
• Life jackets

All you need to do is drop your donation off to our shop in Newmarket (24 McColl Street), or if you're a regular valet client of ours leave it labelled in a bag for our Technician to pick up when they next visit your pool. 

Tone Kolose, Manurewa School Prinicipal: “Anything that would help promote water confidence would be great. Having good attire and equipment means that the students are confident in themselves and have the tools to support them.

“I strongly believe and often send out the message about how important it is to be confident around water. It is a life skill that every kiwi kid should have. The number of drownings every year surprises me, so if we as a school can give our children the confidence and knowledge to be safe in and around water then this will hopefully decrease that number.”
